Pitkin County, CO Provisionally Approves New Lighting Code

The county Board of Commissioners has passed a first reading of a new land-use code that will limit all exterior lighting to motion sensitive activation on a 5-minute timer between 10pm and 7am. The code does make an exception for businesses that are open early or late but only for an hour before opening and after closing. The new code is open for public comment until the 22nd of January.
