A collection of conservation groups has filed a second complaint against the Grand Wailea Resort on Maui. The resort’s lighting is believed to be the cause of fatal disorientations in endangered Hawaiian petrels. The first lawsuit was settled two years ago on the condition that researchers be allowed to observe and record bird strikes on the property.
