Legislative Document number 1934 “An Act to Promote Responsible Outdoor Lighting” proposes that lighting installed after the Fall of 2026 must reflect IES protocols for the responsible use of outdoor light at night, with some exceptions for sports, temporary lighting and emergencies. The Act also directs municipalities to passes similar regulations.
