While Oregon is already home to four DSI-recognized places, this town of 47 will be the first Dark Sky Community in the state. DarkSky Oregon spent 16 months measuring skyglow and distributing free lamps to homeowners and removing and retrofitting publicly owned fixtures for compliance.
