The Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center building in downtown Duluth worked with a resident and their company’s president, David Herman (already an IDA member), to set policy about closing blinds in hospital rooms that must be lit, reducing the brightness of exterior signage, and setting dimming controls on their helipad. The hospital plans on switching to warmer bulbs inside and out in the next maintenance cycle.
