While the county has declared that they aren’t attempting a full ‘dark sky’ program like nearby Payson or Flagstaff, the updated lighting ordinance will require new or renovated lighting to control where falls relative to property lines. The ordinance also establishes that code enforcement officers can confront homeowners over existing fixtures that infringe on neighbors’ enjoyment of night.
